The story of
Aishwarya Goud
Hello, I am Dr Aishwarya Goud, a general practitioner based in Hyderabad, a storyteller at heart, and someone who believes that words have the power to heal just as much as medicine does.
By day, I work in public healthcare, where I have the privilege of caring for my community’s health and well-being. Medicine taught me to listen deeply, think critically, and approach every person with empathy, skills that have shaped not just my practice but my entire worldview.
But beyond the stethoscope and prescription pad lies my truest passion: reading and writing. Books have been my constant companions, my teachers, and my escape. They have challenged my thinking, expanded my perspective, and helped me understand the human experience in all its complexity. Writing, on the other hand, is how I process life, how I make sense of what I read, observe, and feel.
This space is where those two worlds meet. I write about living well in a way that feels honest and sustainable, how we care for our minds and bodies, how we relate to money and ourselves, and how small, intentional choices shape a quieter, more grounded life. I write about the books and media that changed me, the ideas that inspire me, and the lessons I am learning along the way, both as a doctor and as a lifelong student of life.
I believe that true wellness is not just about physical health. It is about financial literacy, emotional resilience, meaningful relationships, and the courage to choose yourself, again and again. Through this blog, I hope to create a space where we can explore these topics together honestly, deliberately, and with a whole lot of heart.
This is a space shaped by patience, reflection, and time.
When I am not working or writing, you will find me sketching, journaling, binge-watching thought-provoking films and series, or diving into yet another book (my TBR pile is embarrassingly long, and I am not even sorry about it).
Whether you are here for medical insights, thoughts on books, reflections on learning and growth, or just some honest conversations about life, welcome! I am so glad you are here.
Let us learn, grow, and choose ourselves together.
A Glimpse Into My World

This is my workspace. It is where my days slow down and my thinking deepens.
I have shaped this space with care, not for productivity alone, but for steadiness. The charts on the walls, the small handwritten reminders I return to, the books within reach are reminders of how I choose to live, learn, and work.
Here, ideas take form quietly. Writing happens in small, honest stretches. Learning unfolds without urgency. Some days are structured, some are not, and both are welcome.
This desk has held long study hours, focused writing, half-finished drafts, and moments of pause. It has witnessed effort, wonder, and rest in equal measure.
I share this space because it reflects my values more clearly than a list ever could: intention over haste, depth over overwhelm, and joy alongside discipline.
This is where I read, write, learn, and return to myself.

I have always been someone who loves learning slowly and deeply. If you are curious about the courses, skills, and areas of study I am exploring along the way, you can find them collected on my Learning Journey page.
If you would like to read more, you can start with a few pieces I have written attentively and without rushing.
